KEY CLUB - DOES ANYONE KNOW THE STORY ABOUT WHY IT WAS DISBANDED? - Mystery Solved!

So, the story goes that there was a group of Key Club members that had rented a cabin in Big Bear sometime in winter of 1978.  Apparently, they were a bit too loud for neighbors and were requested to leave their cabin by local authorities.  Knowing that friends had rented a place nearby, they dropped in for the night to get some rest.  Unfortunately, the friends were not in the cabin at the time and there wasn't a key to be found.  Imagine their surprise when the friends arrived later that night / morning.  Unfortunately, the freezing cold temp outdoors was no excuse for the unexpected visit when the school found out.  Needless to say, that was the end of Key Club :(  

P.S.  I'm  not certain who was there that night.  So, just because someone's name appears below does not mean they participated in the unannounced sleepover!

Apparently, there was some difficulty with administration following a streaking incident through MK Night School and a visit from MPPD regarding an alledged streaking incident through the bowling alley that same evening for a club initiation.  One of those mistaken identity situations - not sure what/who was "identified", but what an interesting "line up" that would have been!  Mr. Horst subsequently disbanded the merry group of men...
