I can finally come out of the UCLA closet, so to speak. I was never much into sports to begin with, but I come from a UCLA household and I always rooted for them. It was great to see them stick it to USC.

comment by William (Bill) Campos '81

Whew!!, I'm over it now (lol)

comment by Nanette

Ave, welcome to the Northwet! Yes it's rainy but beautiful. Hope you have a good time while in Seattle. Lots to see. Did you get to Pike's Place Market? Gotta watch out for flying fish! Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Nanette '75

comment by Ave Hoyos-Capozello '81

Nanette: I'll take Seattle over Indiana's sub-zero degree temps any day! (That was last week.) I do a lot of traveling to Seattle for Boeing hiring events so I came prepared. It rained all day but at least my fingers haven't turned blue once! Oh well, there's always the snow coming next week in New York. I'm working on upgrading my frequent flyer mileage program for the next few weeks :)

Bill - congratulations to you and your son! My wife and I just watched our daughter graduate earlier today from UC Berkeley. To say we are ecstatic is an understatement!

comment by Irma Romano (Blanco)

hi guys - if you go to Dairy Queen today - buy a Blizzard and the proceeds go to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles!! its all part of the annual KBIG Tunathon (happening Aug 16th & 17th). Also - if you are a huge Simpsons fan - you could own one of the cool characters they had at the 7-11's-turned-KwikeMart in SoCal. they donated the stand-ups and we have them on EBay - $$ going to CHLA. click on KBIG.com keyword Tunathon for all the details and ways you can help raise money for these incredible kids. hope everyone is having a great summer!! Sorry i missed the Vegas trip - our little 6-month old Sophia is growing so fast!! anyway - have a great day and thanks for helping out. xoxo, Irm

Hi, My brother "Chris" and I would have graduated with the class of 1961, but we moved to Oregon in 1956. We were in the mid-term of the 8th grade at Reppto grade school. It would be fun to hear from some of our classmates from that era! Thanks

That's right, all of the UCLA Bruins are coming out of the woodwork, getting ready for ... BASKETBALL!

comment by David Miranda "82"

Ave - You're right, I wasn't around too much last week before the big game - BECAUSE I WAS TOO BUSY READING ABOUT THE UCLA BASKETBALL TEAM BEING THE NUMBER 1 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY!!!!!!! WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO! GO UCLA!!!!!!!!! I'm sure USC will get invited to the N.I.T. (maybe).

comment by grace naval-1984

Just stopping by wishing all the Alumnis of MKHS a Happy Valentine's Day. May this special day fulfilled with many blessings from your love ones'. God Bless and Take Care Gracie

comment by Janet

March Basketball News: ... the Ducks demonstrated superior quickness and spectacular shooting at Staples, working themselves free for 65 three-point attempts and making 34 of them (52 percent). “They play at a high level,” USC coach Tim Floyd conceded, “but tonight they played at a higher level. They were just tremendous. They are hard to contain on defense and their guards are hard to locate and their big men destroyed us on the glass.”

comment by William (Bill) Campos '81

It's a big wonder how the time has flown after 25 years that now I'm going to see my son graduate from high school in just 2 weeks! If there's anyone out there that will soon see their son or daughter graduate from high school, I wish them the best as well. It sure brings back a lot of fond memories from back then, but this time it's their time and it's all golden! I ask my son, "so what's the biggest thing of high school will you be missing?" he says "my friends" I tell him, "Mijo, this is where your fondest memories are just beginning..."

Hope everyone out there is doing well - just dropped by to say hi.  Not sure if I\'ll be at the reunion or not, but I am getting together Sunday with about two dozen other \'73 alums at Santa Anita Park for our annual Day at the Races (graciously coordinated by Mary Flaugher).  Ave - I still have all that glass put aside for you for the reunion if you\'re still interested! :-)

Hello long lost friends! I've missed you! We need Registration Hosts and/or Hostesses from each year participating, so we can tell each other a part! This is not just a job for the gals. This is an equal opportunity Reunion Committee and everyone is welcome to join in. Come on, let's show how well we've aged through the years...(not!). If we get enough volunteers, our reception shifts will be only 30 minutes of crazy fun and laughter! You will get to see folks as they sign in and not have to wonder who's who later. If you have any questions please send me a message and I'll get back to you. Please join us at the host/hostess reception table! Thank you. Cathy

comment by Dave Lopez

To all my pendeko friends who didn't buy their tickets, don't think that by saying "i'm with the DJ" is going to get you in. LOL I told you fools it was going to sell out! See you out in the parking lot after the party. lol

Wish I could be there. But, now working and living in London, England again. From looking at the list of attendees, class of 73 will be wel represented. Enjoy all!

I just want to thank all the MKHS alumni who read the note I posted about my dad passing away the day after the reunion. It was very touching to hear from alumni I knew and several I didn't. All your kind words, thoughts & prayers have been a comfort to me my husband Mark(76) & my sis Maryann Fellis-Cisneros (75) durring this difficult time. My dad will finally be laid to rest on Monday at Forest Lawn Covina Hills. Thank you all so much again for your kindness!!

comment by Dave Lopez '82

What a great time I had spinning that huge mix of music for you all. For those of you who missed it all, we'll catch you at the next gig in the new year. If you haven't had a Phil Spector you haven't had a drink at Sapphires is all i've got to say. Did i hear Hot Tub party or are my ears still ringing? LOL

comment by Brian

It was great to see all of you that made it to Dave's place Saturday night. For those who didn’t make it..... the Mike/Joey Speedo dance looks “ok” so far, but they have some work to do. I was surprised for a couple of old guys, they have kept very fit. However, they can use help with some of the dance steps. This Multi-Year reunion is going to be a BLAST! The donations (time/money) that we have already received are GREAT! I'm looking forward to the reunion, but there is a long way to go! Ave needs all the help she can get. If you can spare any time, contact us and we can find something for you to do. ....bdj

comment by Gillian Grieve Thompson

Thanks for making this reunion so close to my house!! I'm thinking after party...:) Jill

Man, all of this is making the memories, some a bit fuzzy if you know what I mean, come flooding back to me. I remeber that some of you were so very important in my life (Ave) as conflicted as it was. It will be awesome to see you all again!! Where is Ana anyway?

For those of you that made it to Saturday Night's meeting it was great seeing some old faces and meeting some new ones. I am hoping that all Keppel Alumni who are planning to attend the reunion are digging deep into the old phone books and calling all of your classmates. Ave is doing a great job on making this multi-year reunion happen. So let's help her out by volunteering on a committe or just by purchasing your tickets ASAP. Ave..... GREAT JOB!......Class of '82

Desiree-I also wanted to add how great everything tasted. I wasn't exactly in tip-top shape that day, still obsessing where and how I lost my name tag. Thanks for getting up early and taking care of us.

comment by Matt Marquisee '73

I'll try to make it to the Homecoming Game. Of course, it will be the first school event I'll have ever gone to. But the reunion was my first, too.

comment by Hector Rios '79

Joey Caruso, "dude" just saw your skit, it was hallarious. Didn't know you use to dress in drag back then ha ha LOL! Hey if i would have known you wanted to be a call girl guy or what ever it is you call it, dude I could of hooked you up. Yeah man, I could have pimped you out and we could have made lots of money together. Oh yeah bro and I could have even promissed you that I wouldn't smack you around too much if you made sure the money was lucrative enough HA HA LOL! Hey bro, you know I'm only joking, that was really funny, can't wait to see what you will do next. Thanks for the laughs (HALARIOUS)

comment by Brigitte

Natalie~ You lost your name tag?.....After all we went through to make them?!?!?.....LOL..........

comment by Ave Hoyos-Capozello '81

Name tags...the ugliest two words ever spoken. If I never, EVER, see another name tag again it will be too soon. Next reunion, everyone's name is JOE! :)
